Seva Kunj is a spiritually charged and serene garden in Vrindavan, located in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, revered as the divine site where Lord Krishna performed the Raas Leela with Radha and the gopis. It is believed that Krishna used to perform “seva” (service) to Radha Rani here by decorating her hair and massaging her feet lovingly.
According to Vaishnavite tradition:
Seva Kunj is not just a garden but a leela-sthal (divine play site), where Radha-Krishna spent intimate moments after the Raas Leela.
Devotees believe that Krishna still visits this place every night to perform seva for Radha.
Entry is prohibited after sunset, and the temple is closed to honor the belief that divine activities take place at night.
The sandalwood footprints of Krishna and Radha are said to mysteriously appear in the morning.
Lalita Kund: A sacred water tank believed to be created by Krishna for Lalita Sakhi.
Madan Mohan Temple (adjacent): Houses beautiful deities of Radha and Krishna.
The garden is filled with tulsi plants, flowering creepers, and peacocks, creating a setting echoing with divine romance and eternal love.
The mystical aura and tranquil ambiance make it ideal for silent prayer and meditation.
