  The Madan Mohan Temple is one of the oldest and most revered temples in Vrindavan, located near the banks of the sacred Yamuna River, on a small hill called Dwadashaditya Tila. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Madan Mohan, an aspect of Lord Krishna who enchants even Cupid (Kama).

  🌟 Spiritual Significance

  The temple is associated with Sanatana Goswami, one of the six principal disciples of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and a key figure in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. The original deity of Madan Mohan Ji, worshipped here by Sanatana Goswami, was later shifted to Karauli, Rajasthan, to protect it during Mughal invasions. The temple remains a place of deep devotion and spiritual history.

  "Madan" refers to Kama Deva (god of love), and "Mohan" means one who enchants—thus, Madan Mohan is Krishna who enchants even the god of love.
