Chappaiya Mahotsav (also spelled Chhapaiya Mahotsav) is a major religious and cultural festival held in Chhapaiya, a sacred village in Uttar Pradesh. This place is famous as the birthplace of Swaminarayan (Ghanshyam Maharaj).
Chappaiya Mahotsav is organized every year by the Uttar Pradesh Government along with the Swaminarayan Sampraday.
It attracts thousands of devotees and tourists from India and abroad. The festival is celebrated mainly on the birth anniversary of Swaminarayan (Ram Navami period).
